About the society

(Click here to read member testimonials)

ULU Dancesport (formerly known as BALADS - Ballroom And Latin American Dance Society) is a student society, a part of the University of London Students' Union (ULU). Because we are inter-collegiate, our society features undergraduate and postgraduate dancers from diverse nationalities and studying a wide range of subjects from colleges in London. Although we cater mainly for university students, there are a significant number of non-student members participating in our classes!

We hold weekly Ballroom and Latin group classes in the ULU building catering to all levels from complete beginners to advanced dancers. Our BALLROOM classes include lessons on Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Tango and Viennese Waltz while LATIN classes cover Chachacha, Jive, Samba, Rumba and Paso Doble.

Besides social dancing, members can take medal exams from Pre-Bronze level to Gold Star and beyond. We also run weekly technique classes and masterclasses from time to time.

Please see our Classes page for more information on timetables and pricing.
